The Public Holidays Ordinance, 2001

 

THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 31st January, 2001[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1(1) of the Bills of Exchange (Guernsey) Law, 1958, as amended[b], hereby order:-

 

Public holidays in 2001 and 2002.

1.      (1)      Without prejudice to the provisions of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1994[c], Thursday, the 12th July, 2001 and Monday and Tuesday, the 3rd and 4th June, 2002 shall be public holidays.

 

(2)      Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1(f) of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1994, Monday, the 27th May, 2002 shall not be a public holiday.

 

Extent.

2.      This Ordinance shall have effect in the Islands of Guernsey, Herm and Jethou.

 

Citation.

3.      This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Holidays Ordinance, 2001.
