The Public Holidays Ordinance, 2001

THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 31^st January, 2001[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1(1) of the Bills of Exchange (Guernsey) Law, 1958, as amended[b], hereby order:-

Public holidays in 2001 and 2002.

1. (1) Without prejudice to the provisions of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1994[c], Thursday, the 12^th July, 2001 and Monday and Tuesday, the 3^rd and 4^th June, 2002 shall be public holidays.

(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1(f) of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1994, Monday, the 27^th May, 2002 shall not be a public holiday.

Extent.

2. This Ordinance shall have effect in the Islands of Guernsey, Herm and Jethou.

Citation.

3. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Holidays Ordinance, 2001.
