The States Agricultural and Milk Marketing Board (Transfer of Functions) Ordinance, 2001

 

THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 9th day of February, 2000[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 1 of the Public Functions (Transfer and Performance) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1991[b] and all other powers enabling them, hereby order-

 

Transfer of functions.

1.      The functions, rights and liabilities of the States Agricultural and Milk Marketing Board and of its President arising under or by virtue of the enactments set out in Schedule 1 to this Ordinance are transferred to and vested in the States Agriculture and Countryside Board and its President.

 

Savings and transitional provisions.

2.      Anything done before the date of the commencement of this Ordinance or in the process of being done on that date by or in relation to the States Agricultural and Milk Marketing Board or its President under or by virtue of any of the enactments set out in Schedule 1 to this Ordinance shall have effect as if done or (as the case may be) continued by or in relation to the States Agriculture and Countryside Board or (as the case may be) its President.

 

Amendments.

3.      The enactments set out in Schedule 2 to this Ordinance are amended as therein mentioned.

 

Repeals.

4.      The States Committee for Agriculture (Transfer of Functions) Ordinance, 1987[c] is repealed.

 

Interpretation.

5.      Any reference in this Ordinance to an enactment is a reference thereto as amended.

 

Citation.

6.      This Ordinance may be cited as the States Agricultural and Milk Marketing Board (Transfer of Functions) Ordinance, 2001.

 

Commencement.

7.      This Ordinance shall come into force on the same day as the States Committee for Agriculture and States Dairy Committee (Transfer of Functions) (Repeal) (Guernsey) Law, 2001 is registered on the records of the Island of Guernsey.
