The Government of Alderney (Amendment) Law, 2012

THE STATES OF ALDERNEY, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 18^th April, 2012, have approved the following provisions which, subject to the Sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, shall have force of law in the Island of Alderney.

Amendment of Government of Alderney Law, 2004.

1. The Government of Alderney Law, 2004[a] is further amended as follows.

2. For section 33(3)(a) substitute the following paragraph -

"(a) he has attained the age of 18 years,".

3. For section 33(3)(d) substitute the following paragraph -

"(d) he has been ordinarily resident in Alderney throughout the 12 months immediately preceding the day on which he applies for his name to be inscribed,".

4. In section 45(1) after "meetings of the States" insert "and (without prejudice to a committee's power to regulate its own procedure in a manner consistent with rules prescribed under this section) of the committees thereof".

5. Section 62(5)(a)[b] is repealed.

6. In section 62(5)(b), the words "notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (a)," are repealed.

Citation.

7. This Law may be cited as the Government of Alderney (Amendment) Law, 2012.
