The Harbour Dues, Fees and Charges (Alderney) (Amendment) Law, 2008

THE STATES OF ALDERNEY, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 17^th September, 2008, have approved the following provisions which, subject to the Sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, shall have force of law in the Island of Alderney.

Amendment of Law of 1984.

1. In section 5(a) of the Law of 1984, the words ", so however that no Resolution shall increase any dues or fees to an amount greater than four hundred per centum of the rate of such dues or fees at the date of coming into force of this Law" are repealed.

Interpretation.

2. (1) In this Law the " Law of 1984" means the Harbour Dues, Fees and Charges (Alderney) Law, 1984[a].

(2) The Interpretation (Guernsey) Law, 1948[b] applies to the interpretation of this Law.

(3) Any reference in this Law to an enactment is a reference thereto as from time to time amended, re-enacted (with or without modification), extended or applied.

Citation.

3. This Law may be cited as the Harbour Dues, Fees and Charges (Alderney) (Amendment) Law, 2008.

Commencement.

4. This Law shall come into force on the date of its registration on the records of the Island of Alderney.
