PROJET DE LOI
ENTITLED
The Misuse of Drugs (Bailiwick of Guernsey) (Amendment) Law, 2005
THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 26th February, 2004[a], have approved the following provisions which, subject to the Sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, shall have force of law in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
Amendment to the law of 1974.
1. (1) The Misuse of Drugs (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1974, as amended[b], is amended as follows.
(2) In the Third Schedule (prosecution and punishment of offences)[c] -
(a) in the entries relating to sections 3(2), 3(3) and 4(3) (relating to production, supply and possession with intent to supply respectively), in the sixth column[d] for "10 years" substitute "14 years", and
(b) in the entry relating to section 5(2) (relating to cultivation of cannabis), in the seventh column for "life" substitute "14 years".
Citation.
2. This Law may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Bailiwick of Guernsey) (Amendment) Law, 2005.
