The Road Traffic Offences (Motor Vehicles and Bicycles) (Sark) (Amendment) Law, 2015

THE CHIEF PLEAS OF SARK, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 21^st day of January, 2015, have approved the following provisions which, subject to the Sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, shall have force of law in the Island of Sark.

Amendment of the 2013 Law.

1. (1) The Road Traffic Offences (Motor Vehicles and Bicycles) (Sark) Law, 2013[a] is amended as follows.

(2) After section 23, insert –

"Power to make regulations relating to parking.

23A. (1) It is an offence for a person to park a tractor or construction vehicle on any specified public road, or specified part thereof, other than during such hours of the day and months of the year as may be specified.

(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), "specified" means specified by regulations made by the Committee.".

(3) In section 24(1)(g), after "under section 19" insert "or 23A".

Interpretation.

2. The Interpretation (Guernsey) Law, 1948[b] shall apply to the interpretation of this Law as it applies to the interpretation of an enactment in force in Guernsey.

Citation.

3. This Law may be cited as the Road Traffic Offences (Motor Vehicles and Bicycles) (Sark) (Amendment) Law, 2015.

Commencement.

4. This Law shall come into operation on such date as the Chief Pleas may by Ordinance appoint.
