The Alderney (Application of Legislation) (Health Service) (Benefit) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2002

THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 28th day of February, 2002[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 1 of the Alderney (Application of Legislation) Law, 1948[b], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby order:-

Amendment of section 1 of the Ordinance of 1990.

1. In section 1 of the Ordinance of 1990 -

(a) after "The Health Service (Benefit) (Guernsey) Law, 1990" insert "as amended by the Health Service (Benefit) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2002"[c];

(b) after "the Health Service (Benefit) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2002" as inserted by paragraph (a), insert "and the Health Service (Benefit) (Amendment) (Guernsey) Law, 2002"[d];

(d) after "the Health Service (Physiotherapy Benefit) Ordinance, 1997" insert "and the Health Service (Physiotherapy Benefit) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2002".

Amendment of Schedule to the Ordinance of 1990.

2. In the Schedule to the Ordinance of 1990 -

(a) for paragraph 1 substitute -

"1. In section 3 after "Guernsey" wherever appearing in that section insert "or Alderney""; and

(b) paragraph 2 is revoked.

Interpretation.

3. (1) In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires "the Ordinance of 1990" means the Alderney (Application of Legislation) (Health Service) (Benefit) Ordinance, 1990[e].

(2) Unless the context otherwise requires, references in this Ordinance to an enactment are references thereto as amended, re-enacted (with or without modification), extended or applied.

Citation.

4. This Ordinance may be cited as the Alderney (Application of Legislation) (Health Service) (Benefit) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2002.

Commencement.

5. (1) This Ordinance, except section 1(b), shall come into force on 1 January 2003.

(2) Section 1(b) shall come into force on the same day as the Health Service (Benefit) (Guernsey) (Amendment) Law, 2002 is registered on the records of the Island of Guernsey.
