The Adoption (Amendment) (Guernsey) Law, 2000 (Commencement and Consequential Amendment) Ordinance, 2001
THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 26th day of November, 1997[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 3 of the Adoption (Amendment) (Guernsey) Law, 2000[b], hereby order:-
Commencement of Law.
1. The Adoption (Amendment) (Guernsey) Law, 2000 shall come into force on the 1st November, 2001.
Disclosure of information for purposes of mandatory counselling.
2. In section 5 of the Children Board (Regulation of Adoption Arrangements) Ordinance, 1961[c], immediately before "or for the proper execution of his duties" insert "for the purpose of providing the counselling required by section 20B of the Adoption (Guernsey) Law, 1960, as amended,".
Citation.
3. This Ordinance may be cited as the Adoption (Amendment) (Guernsey) Law, 2000 (Commencement and Consequential Provisions) Ordinance, 2001.
