The Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008 (Amendment) (No.2) Ordinance, 2008

THE STATES LEGISLATION SELECT COMMITTEE, in pursuance of the Resolutions of the States of the 29^th March, 2007[a] and the 1^st November, 2007[b], and in exercise of the powers conferred on the States by sections 533 and 538 of the Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008[c] and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and on the Committee by Article 66(3) of the Reform (Guernsey) Law, 1948[d], hereby orders:-

Amendment of the Law.

1. The Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008 is amended as follows.

2. In section 97(2), for paragraph (b) substitute the following paragraph-

"(b) confirmation from Her Majesty's Procureur and the Administrator of Income Tax that they have no objection to the removal of the company from the Register,".

Interpretation.

3. Any reference in this Ordinance to an enactment is a reference thereto as from time to time amended, repealed (with or without modification), extended or applied.

Citation.

4. This Ordinance may be cited as the Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008 (Amendment) (No.2) Ordinance, 2008.

Commencement.

5. This Ordinance shall come into force on the 27^th October, 2008.
