The International Criminal Court (Remand Time) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Ordinance, 2024
THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 24th September, 2013[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 5(4) of, and paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 to, the International Criminal Court (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2019[b], and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby order:-
Remand of person arrested under provisional warrant.
1. (1) The specified period for which a person may be remanded at any time pending the production of a section 2 warrant in respect of that person is 18 days.
(2) The total specified period for which a person may be so remanded is 60 days.
(3) For the purposes of subsection (1), a "section 2 warrant" is a warrant endorsed or issued under section 2 of the International Criminal Court (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2019.
Extent.
2. This Ordinance has effect in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
Citation.
3. This Ordinance may be cited as the International Criminal Court (Remand Time) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Ordinance, 2024.
Commencement.
4. This Ordinance shall come into force on the 1st October, 2024.
