The Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2009
THE STATES LEGISLATION SELECT COMMITTEE, in exercise of the powers conferred on the States by section 3 of the Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement) (Guernsey) Law, 1957[a], and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and in exercise of the powers conferred on the Committee by Article 66(3) of the Reform (Guernsey) Law, 1948, as amended[b], hereby orders:
Amendment to Ordinance of 1973.
1. In the Schedule to the Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement) Ordinance, 1973, as amended[c], -
(a) in the entry relating to England and Wales, replace -
(i) "The House of Lords" with "The Supreme Court",
(ii) "the Court of Appeal and the High Court of Justice" with ""the Senior Courts of England and Wales, excluding the Crown Court", and
(b) in the entry relating to Northern Ireland, replace "The Supreme Court of Judicature" with "The Court of Judicature of Northern Ireland".
Citation.
2. This Ordinance may be cited as the Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2009.
Commencement.
3. This Ordinance shall have effect from 1st October, 2009.
