The Customs and Excise (General Provisions) (Commencement & Amendment) Ordinance, 2004

THE STATES, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 8 of the Customs and Excise (General Provisions) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) (Amendment) Law, 2003[a], and sections 23C and 23K of the Customs and Excise (General Provisions) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1972, as amended[b], hereby order:-

Commencement of principal Law.

1. The Customs and Excise (General Provisions) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) (Amendment) Law, 2003 shall come into force on the 1^st October, 2004.

Amendment of 4^th Schedule to principal Law.

2. In the Fourth Schedule to the Customs and Excise (General Provisions) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1972, as amended[c], for the table in paragraph 1 ("tobacco and tobacco products") substitute the following -

a.	Cigars and Cigarettes	£127.40 per kilo
b.	Hand rolling tobacco	£118.64 per kilo
c.	Other Manufactured Tobacco	£102.91 per kilo
d.	Tobacco leaf - unstemmed	£114.23 per kilo
e.	Tobacco leaf - stemmed	£115.38 per kilo

Citation.

3. This Ordinance may be cited as the Customs and Excise (General Provisions) (Commencement & Amendment) Ordinance, 2004.
