THE STATES, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 6 and 27 of the Financial Services Ombudsman (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2014[a], and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby order:-

Amendment of the Law.

1. In paragraph 2(7) of Schedule 2 to the Financial Services Ombudsman (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2014, substitute "2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018" for "2015 and 2016".

Interpretation.

2. (1) In this Ordinance -

"enactment" means any Law, Ordinance or subordinate legislation, and

"subordinate legislation" means any regulation, rule, order, rule of court, resolution, scheme, byelaw or other instrument made under any enactment and having legislative effect.

(2) The Interpretation (Guernsey) Law, 1948[b] applies to the interpretation of this Ordinance throughout the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

(3) Any reference in this Ordinance to an enactment is a reference thereto as from time to time amended, re-enacted (with or without modification), extended or applied.

Citation and commencement.

3. This Ordinance -

(a) may be cited as the Financial Services Ombudsman (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2014 (Amendment) Ordinance, 2016, and

(b) shall come into force on the 2^nd November, 2016.
