The Gambling (Crown and Anchor) (Guernsey) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2004
THE STATES LEGISLATION COMMITTEE, in pursuance of the Resolution of the States of 27th November, 2003[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred on the States by section 2 of the Gambling (Guernsey) Law, 1971, as amended[b] and on the Committee by Article 66(3) of the Reform (Guernsey) Law, 1948, as amended[c], hereby orders:-
Amendment of the 1983 Ordinance.
1. In section 4(3)(a) of the 1983 Ordinance delete "any Sunday,".
Transitional provision.
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 3(1) of the 1983 Ordinance, an application made pursuant thereto relating to the playing of a game of Crown and Anchor at an event which is to be held on 9th May 2004, may be delivered to the States Gambling Control Committee on or before 5th May 2004.
Interpretation.
3. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires, "the 1983 Ordinance" means the Gambling (Crown and Anchor) (Guernsey) Ordinance, 1983, as amended[d].
Citation.
4. This Ordinance may be cited as the Gambling (Crown and Anchor) (Guernsey) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2004.
