The Advance and Super Polling Station Ordinance, 2025
THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolutions of 20th November, 2024[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 15A of the Reform (Amendment) Law, 1972 as amended[b], and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby order:-
All polling stations to be super polling stations.
1. (1) A person entitled to vote at the General Election of People's Deputies to be held on Wednesday 18th June, 2025 ("an elector") may vote in that election between the hours of 8am and 8pm on that day at the polling station at any of the locations listed in the Schedule.
(2) An elector may vote under subsection (1) regardless of which section of the Electoral Roll the elector's name is inscribed on.
Advance polling stations.
2. (1) An elector may vote in the election referred to in section 1 between the hours of 8am and 8pm on Sunday 15th June, 2025 or Tuesday 17th June, 2025 at the polling station at–
(a) the Beau Sejour Leisure Centre (Dave Ferguson Hall),
(b) Les Maingys Activity Centre, or
(c) Styx Community Centre.
(2) For the avoidance of doubt, an elector may vote under subsection (1) regardless of which section of the Electoral Roll the elector's name is inscribed on.
Citation.
3. This Ordinance may be cited as the Advance and Super Polling Station Ordinance, 2025.
SCHEDULE
Section 1
POLLING STATIONS
The locations of the polling stations referred to in section 1(1) are -
(a) the Beau Sejour Leisure Centre (Dave Ferguson Hall),
(b) Les Maingys Activity Centre,
(c) Styx Community Centre,
(d) Castel Douzaine Room,
(e) St Martin's Parish Hall,
(f) St Sampson's Community Hall,
(g) St Peter Port Constables Office,
(h) St Andrew's Douzaine Room.
