The By-election (Vale) Ordinance, 2016

THE STATES, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Articles 29(3) and 34(11)(a) of the Reform (Guernsey) Law, 1948 as amended[a], hereby order:-

Date of by-election and closure of Roll.

1. An election to fill the casual vacancy in the office of People’s Deputy for the electoral district of the Vale arising upon the death of David Brian Jones shall be held on Wednesday, 19^th October, 2016; and for the purposes of that election the Electoral Roll shall be closed on Saturday, 15^th October, 2016.

Citation.

2. This Ordinance may be cited as the By-election (Vale) Ordinance, 2016.

Commencement.

3. This Ordinance shall come into force on the 12^th September, 2016.
