The States Audit Commission (Guernsey) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2003

THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 30^th October, 2002[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 4(2) of the States Audit Commission (Guernsey) Law, 1997[b], hereby order:-

Amendment of Law.

1. In Schedule 1 to the States Audit Commission (Guernsey) Law, 1997-

(a) for paragraph 1(1) substitute the following -

"(1) The Commission is to consist of six members, who shall be elected by the States from persons nominated by the Committee.";

(b) in paragraphs 1(2) and 1(3) the word "ordinary" is repealed;

"Remuneration and expenses.

2. The members of the Commission -

(a) shall be entitled to receive such remuneration in respect of their services as the Committee may from time to time determine; and

(b) may, at the discretion of the Committee, be reimbursed in respect of their reasonable expenses (if any).";

(d) paragraph 3(1) is repealed;

(e) in paragraph 3(2) the word "ordinary" is repealed;

(f) paragraph 4 is repealed;

(g) in paragraph 5(1) the word "ordinary", where first appearing, is repealed;

(h) in paragraphs 5(1)(a), 5(2), 5(3), 6(1), 6(2) and 6(3) for the words "an ordinary member", wherever appearing, substitute "a member";

(i) in paragraph 7 the definition of "ordinary member" is repealed.

Citation.

2. This Ordinance may be cited as the States Audit Commission (Guernsey) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2003.

Commencement.

3. This Ordinance shall come into force on the 1^st March, 2003.
