The Public Holidays (Royal Wedding) Ordinance, 2011
THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 26th January, 2011[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1(1) of the Bills of Exchange (Guernsey) Law, 1958, as amended[b] and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby order:-
Royal Wedding in 2011.
1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1 of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1994[c], Friday, the 29th April, 2011 is a public holiday.
Interpretation.
2. Any reference in this Ordinance to an enactment is a reference thereto as from time to time amended, re-enacted (with or without modification), extended or applied.
Citation and commencement.
3. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Holidays (Royal Wedding) Ordinance, 2011 and shall come into force on the 30th March, 2011.
