The Al-Qaida (Restrictive Measures) (Guernsey) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2013

THE STATES LEGISLATION SELECT COMMITTEE, in exercise of the powers conferred on the States by sections 1 and 4 of the European Communities (Implementation) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1994[a] and on the Committee by Article 66(3) of the Reform (Guernsey) Law, 1948[b] and all other powers enabling the States in that behalf, hereby orders:-

Amendment of Al-Qaida (Restrictive Measures) (Guernsey) Ordinance, 2013.

1. In the Al-Qaida (Restrictive Measures) (Guernsey) Ordinance, 2013[c]-

(a) in section 4(5), for "commits" substitute ", (2) or (4) is guilty of", and

(b) in section 8 -

(i) in subsection (1)(a), for "5 or 6" substitute "6 or 7", and

(ii) in subsection (1)(b), for "1(b)" substitute "2(b)".

Citation.

2. This Ordinance may be cited as the Al-Qaida (Restrictive Measures) (Guernsey) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2013.

Commencement.

3. This Ordinance shall come into force on the 16^th December, 2013.
