The Burma (Export of Goods & Freezing of Funds) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2004

THE STATES LEGISLATION COMMITTEE, in exercise of the powers conferred on the States by sections 1 and 4 of the European Communities (Implementation) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1994[a] and on the Committee by Article 66(3) of the Reform (Guernsey) Law, 1948, as amended[b], hereby orders:-

Amendment of Ordinance.

1. The Burma (Export of Goods & Freezing of Funds) Ordinance, 2000[c] is amended by the following section.

2. (1) In section 1(a), after "Article 1", insert "or Article 1a".

(2) In section 1(c), after "Article 1", insert "or Article 1a".

(3) In section 5(1), in the definition of "EC Regulation", after "country;" delete the semi-colon and replace it with ", as amended by Council Regulation (EC) No. 1211/2003,[d] Commission Regulation (EC) No. 744/2003[e] and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1070/2003[f];".

Citation.

3. This Ordinance may be cited as the Burma (Export of Goods & Freezing of Funds) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2004.

Commencement.

4. This Ordinance shall come into force on the 12^th January, 2004.
