The Burma (Sale, Supply, Export, Technical Assistance, Financing and Financial Assistance and Shipment of Equipment) (Penalties and Licences) (Guernsey) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2004

THE STATES LEGISLATION SELECT COMMITTEE, in exercise of the powers conferred on the States by sections 1 and 4 of the European Communities (Implementation) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1994[a] and on the Committee by Article 66(3) of the Reform (Guernsey) Law, 1948, as amended[b], hereby orders:

Amendment to Ordinance

1. In the Burma (Sale, Supply, Export, Technical Assistance, Financing and Financial Assistance and Shipment of Equipment) (Penalties and Licences) (Guernsey) Ordinance, 2004[c] after section 1(g) there is inserted -

"(h) Article 8a, prohibiting the granting of any financial loan or credit to Burmese state owned enterprises, etc.,".

Citation and commencement.

2. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Burma (Sale, Supply, Export, Technical Assistance, Financing and Financial Assistance and Shipment of Equipment) (Penalties and Licences) (Guernsey) (Amendment) Ordinance 2004.

(2) This Ordinance shall come into force on 1^st January, 2005.
