The Health Service (Benefit) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2005

 

THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 30th day of March 2005[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by sections 6, 35 and 39 of the Health Service (Benefit) (Guernsey) Law, 1990[b], as amended and all other powers enabling them, hereby order:-

 

Amendment of 1990 Ordinance.

1.      In the Health Service (Benefit) Ordinance, 1990[c] -

 

(a)      for section 1(a) substitute -

 

"(a)      the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, Guernsey, unless the consultation or treatment is given by an approved medical practitioner who is at the time participating in the provision of 24 hour emergency medical cover arranged by the Health and Social Services Department;", and

 

(b)      in section 1(b) after "Alderney" insert -

 

", unless the consultation or treatment is given by an approved medical practitioner who at the time is treating the patient in the Casualty Department of the Hospital".

 

Extent.

2.      This Ordinance shall have effect in the Islands of Guernsey, Alderney, Herm and Jethou.

 

Citation.

3.      This Ordinance may be cited as the Health Service (Benefit) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2005.
