The Supplementary Benefit (Implementation) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2001

THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 11th day of April 2001[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by sections 3(2) and 15 of the Supplementary Benefit (Guernsey) Law, 1971[b], as amended, hereby order:-

Amendment of Ordinance of 1971.

1. The Ordinance of 1971 is amended in the manner set out in the Schedule.

Interpretation.

2. In this Ordinance, except where the context otherwise requires -

"the First Schedule" means the First Schedule to the Ordinance of 1971;

"the Ordinance of 1971" means the Supplementary Benefit (Implementation) Ordinance, 1971[c], as amended; and

"the Schedule" means the schedule to this Ordinance.

Citation.

3. This Ordinance may be cited as the Supplementary Benefit (Implementation) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2001.

Commencement.

4. This Ordinance shall come into force on the 28th day of September 2001.

Section 1

SCHEDULE

Amendment of the Ordinance of 1971

Amendment of paragraph 11 of the First Schedule.

1. (1) At the end of paragraph 11(e) of the First Schedule, for the full stop substitute a semi-colon.

(2) After paragraph 11(e) of the First Schedule (as amended by subparagraph (1)), add the following subparagraph -

"(f) any fostering allowance, other than the contractual element, paid by the States' Children Board.".

Amendment of paragraph 15 of the First Schedule.

2. (1) At the end of paragraph 15(3)(ii) of the First Schedule, for the full stop substitute a semi-colon.

(2) After paragraph 15(3)(ii) of the First Schedule (as amended by subparagraph (1)), add the following subparagraph -

"(iii) the contractual element of any fostering allowance paid by the States' Children Board.".
