The Long-term Care Insurance (Guernsey) (Rates) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2022

THE STATES, in pursuance of their Resolutions of the 14^th October 2021[a], and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 5 and 31 of the Long-term Care Insurance (Guernsey) Law, 2002[b] and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby order:-

Amendment of the Long-term Care Insurance (Guernsey) (Rates) Ordinance, 2021.

1. (1) The Long-term Care Insurance (Guernsey) (Rates) Ordinance, 2021[c] is amended as follows.

(2) In section 1(2) (maximum weekly rates of respite care benefit) -

(a) in paragraph (a)(i), for "£789.81" substitute "£804.65",

(b) in paragraph (a)(ii), for "£953.47" substitute "£968.31", and

(3) In section 2 (co-payment by way of contribution), for "£256.83" substitute "£271.67".

Citation.

2. This Ordinance may be cited as the Long-term Care Insurance (Guernsey) (Rates) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2022.

Extent.

3. This Ordinance shall have effect in the Islands of Guernsey, Alderney, Herm and Jethou.

Commencement.

4. This Ordinance shall come into force on the 4^th July, 2022.
