The Document Duty (Amendment) Ordinance, 2001
THE STATES, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 6 of the Document Duty (Guernsey) Law, 1973, as amended[a], and in pursuance of their Resolution of the 12th December, 2001, hereby order:-
Rate of Document Duty in relation to conveyance of realty.
1. In the First Schedule[b] of the Document Duty (Guernsey) Law, 1973, as amended, for paragraph 1 substitute the following paragraph:-

"1. |
Conveyance of realty other than a conveyance specified in paragraph 2, 3 or 5 of this Schedule. |
(a) |
Where the value of the transaction does not exceed £150,000, zero. |

(b) |
Where the value of the transaction exceeds £150,000, 20p per £20 of the value of the transaction" |

Extent.
2. This Ordinance shall have effect in the Islands of Guernsey and Alderney.
Repeal.
3. Section 1(a) of the Document Duty (Amendment) Ordinance, 2000[c] is repealed.
Citation.
4. This Ordinance may be cited as the Document Duty (Amendment) Ordinance, 2001.
Commencement.
5. This Ordinance shall come into force on the 12th December 2001.
