The Fishing (Sark) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2008

THE CHIEF PLEAS OF SARK, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 16th January, 2008, hereby order:-

Amendment of section 4 of Ordinance of 1996.

1.      In section 4 of the Ordinance of 1996 -

(a)      in the heading to the section, the words, brackets and inverted commas "(other than "lady crabs")" are repealed,

(b)      in subsection (1), the comma, words and inverted commas ", other than those commonly known as "lady crabs"" are repealed, and

(c)      in the proviso to subsection (1), the comma and words ", other than the said lady crabs" are repealed.

Interpretation.

2.      (1)      In this Ordinance, "the Ordinance of 1996" means the Fishing (Sark) Ordinance, 1996.

(2)      The Interpretation (Guernsey) Law, 1948[a] applies to the interpretation of this Ordinance.

(3)      Any reference in this Ordinance to an enactment is a reference thereto as from time to time amended, re-enacted (with or without modification), extended or applied.

Citation.

3.      This Ordinance may be cited as the Fishing (Sark) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2008.
