The Reform (Election of Conseillers) (Dates) (Sark) (No. 2)
Ordinance, 2008
 
THE GENERAL PURPOSES AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Chief Pleas by section 23 of the Reform (Sark) Law, 2008[a], and on the Committee by section 41 of the said Law, hereby orders :-
 
Tenure of office.
1.      The date appointed for the purpose of section 23(4)(a) of the Reform (Sark) Law, 2008 (Conseillers holding office for four years) is 11th January, 2013; and the date appointed for the purpose of section 23(4)(b) of the said Law (Conseillers holding office for two years) is 14th January, 2011.
 
Interpretation.
2.      (1)      The Interpretation (Guernsey) Law, 1948[b] applies to the interpretation of this Ordinance.
 
(2)      Any reference in this Ordinance to an enactment is a reference thereto as from time to time amended, re-enacted (with or without modification), extended or applied.
 
Repeal.
3.      Section 3 of the Reform (Election of Conseillers) (Dates) (Sark) Ordinance, 2008 is hereby repealed.
 
Citation.
5.      This Ordinance may be cited as the Reform (Election of Conseillers) (Dates) (Sark) (No. 2) Ordinance, 2008.
 
Commencement.
6.      This Ordinance shall come into force on 8th December, 2008.
