and Sark Finance and Resources Committee
(Transfer of Functions) Ordinance, 2018
 
THE CHIEF PLEAS, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 10th October, 2018, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 1 of the Public Functions (Transfer and Performance) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1991[a], and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby order:-
 
Transfer of functions.
1.      The functions, rights and liabilities of the Sark Policy and Performance Committee and the Sark Finance and Resources Committee and of their respective Chairmen are transferred to and vested in, respectively, the Sark Policy and Finance Committee and its Chairman.
 
Savings and transitional provisions.
2.      Anything done before the date of the commencement of this Ordinance or in the process of being done on that date by or in relation to the Sark Policy and Performance Committee or the Sark Finance and Resources Committee or their respective Chairmen shall have effect as if done or (as the case may be) may be continued by or in relation to the Sark Policy and Finance Committee or (as the case may be) its Chairman.
 
Amendment of statutory references.
3.      For any reference in an enactment applicable only in Sark to the Sark Policy and Performance Committee or the Sark Finance and Resources Committee or to their respective Chairmen, however expressed, there is substituted a reference to the Sark Policy and Finance Committee or (as the case may be) its Chairman.
 
Interpretation.
4.      The Interpretation and Standard Provisions (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2016[b] applies to the interpretation of this Ordinance.
 
Citation.
5.      This Ordinance may be cited as the Sark Policy and Performance Committee and Sark Finance and Resources Committee (Transfer of Functions) Ordinance, 2018.
 
Commencement.
6.      This Ordinance shall come into force on the 10th October, 2018.
