Ordinance, 2017
 
THE CHIEF PLEAS OF SARK, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 30 of the Fire Services (Sark) Law, 2016[a], hereby order:-
 
Commencement of Law.
1.      (1)      The Fire Services (Sark) Law, 2016, except paragraphs (a), (b) and (d) to (j) of section 4(2), shall come into force on 1st March, 2017.
 
(2)      The remaining provisions of the said Law shall come into force on 1st March, 2018.
 
Interpretation.
2.      (1)      The Interpretation (Guernsey) Law, 1948[b] applies to the interpretation of this Ordinance.
 
(2)      Any reference in this Ordinance to an enactment is a reference thereto as from time to time amended, re-enacted (with or without modification), extended or applied.
 
Citation.
3.      This Ordinance may be cited as the Fire Services (Sark) Law, 2016 (Commencement) Ordinance, 2017.
