The Tourism (Accommodation Permits) (Fees) (Sark) (No. 2) Ordinance, 2008

THE CHIEF PLEAS OF SARK, in pursuance of their Resolution of the 26th March, 2008, and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 7 and 19 of the Tourism (Sark) Law, 1982[a] and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby order:-

Increase of fees.

1.      (1)      The fee specified in the Schedule to the Tourism (Accommodation Permits) (Fees) (Sark) Ordinance, 2008 may, in respect of the year 2009 and each succeeding year, be subject to an increase not greater than the annual percentage increase, if any, in the Guernsey Index of Retail Prices most recently published in a Billet d'État before the end of the preceding calendar year.

(2)      Any increase imposed under subsection (1) may apply to all or any of the categories of accommodation set out in the first column of the table in the said Schedule and different increases may be applied to different categories.

Interpretation.

2.      (1)      The Interpretation (Guernsey) Law, 1948[b] applies to the interpretation of this Ordinance.

(2)      Any reference in this Ordinance to an enactment is a reference thereto as from time to time amended, re-enacted (with or without modification), extended or applied.

Repeal.

3.      Section 1(2) of the Tourism (Accommodation Permits) (Fees) (Sark) Ordinance, 2008 is repealed.

Citation.

4.      This Ordinance may be cited as the Tourism (Accommodation Permits) (Fees) (Sark) (No. 2) Ordinance, 2008.
