Practice Directions
The Judiciary may, from time to time, issue general communications and procedural instructions relating to practice before the Court. These are known as Practice Directions and set out procedures that aim to achieve uniformity in the manner with which matters are considered by the Court.
By way of example, Practice Directions might:
- Set out the manner in which an application should be submitted to the Court
- Set out the timetables and deadlines for submission of paperwork to the Court
- Include procedural questionnaires for fact finding purposes in Court cases
Practice Directions are generally issued by the Office of HM Greffier on behalf of the Judiciary.
